Eurogalva is a Portuguese industrial services company that was founded in 2005 as part of an industrial conglomerate. The company is dedicated to coating processes of metallic surfaces, specialised in hot-dip galvanisation.
Our decade-old relationship with them began when Clearwater was brought in to support the Eurogalva management team execute a Management Buyout (MBO) in 2014.
Then following the MBO, Eurogalva’s attention turned to growing organically and investing in the continuous improvement of its processes, portfolio, and people which we continued to support on.

Acquiring Fisola
Following the investment, Eurogalva has been able to continue both its organic growth, as well as capitalise on and unlock new strategic opportunities in the market. This included growing its portfolio and completing the acquisition of Group Fisola.
With over 45 years of experience, Group Fisola is an industrial group specialised in the manufacture of large metallic structures such as low, medium and high voltage iron fittings and other accessories, railway equipment, luminaires and other metallic structures.
Like the investment from Explorer, the fit was obvious. With the support of the Clearwater team, Eurogalva was able to complete the acquisition in 2021, allowing the business to continue accelerating its long-term growth strategy and development of new processes, helping consolidate its position in the industrial sector.

Securing investment

Explorer saw the vision, and the result was a €3m investment to strengthen Eurogalva’s positioning in value-added industrial services, as well as develop the business’s long-term growth strategy by focusing on innovation and development of new processes.
